Dear comrades,
The time has come for a people’s social comeback, both in Europe and in the whole World. The time has come for the collective build-up of a vast network of Citizens’ Committees for a Social Comeback which will give birth to a Social Rights Party at the national level. These national parties will later unite into a European Federation for a Social Europe, which in turn will become a founding member of the New International (without numbers attached.) The chosen name seems to me to be of extreme importance because it corresponds both to the program and to the desire for a social comeback now deeply felt by the citizens.
At the following link you will find an Appeal entitled: «The time has come for a people’s social comeback, both in Europe and in the whole World. » In summary, the program to be developed in common would contain the following demands:
a) A new definition of the anti-dumping – for details see the Appendix below. In the current global trading system institutionalized by the WTO, the base for the anti-dumping calculus is the net salary without any social contributions. We simply want it to be the net salary with all the social contributions.
b) The nationalization of credit in order to simultaneously eliminate the public debt and the « credit crunch » with the added benefit of taking the Fiscal compact together with the bankers and their so-called « universal » banks off our back.
c) Laicity, gender parity and civil rights;
d) Ecomarxism, careful urban and rural zoning and the implementation of the principle of precaution;
e) Democratization of education and culture as well as public financing of R&D;
f) The ending of socio-economic and media over-representation backed by the ending of false electoral and democratic representation – that is to say, the ending of false electoral representation at all levels, including at the union level, something which is now blatantly verified in direct violation of the Constitution.
g) The renunciation of any foreign intervention or war that would not be strictly defensive in character, together with the return to the spirit and letter of collective security.
My hope is to obtain your reaction to this Appeal. You can freely contribute by adding a comment to it in order to contribute to the debate – the comments judged inappropriate with regard to scientific or simply citizens’ deontology will be erased. Otherwise, the newly formed Committees can contact me to discuss the best way to coordinate our activities. Mostly, I am asking you to widely circulate this Appeal, at least if you approve of its content. Send it to your comrades and friends and to your contact groups so as to trigger a vast debate and to create a strong new social dynamics. This site aims to become the vector of a collective creation. The capillary emergence of grassroots committees should rapidly transform into a gigantic and autonomous social tsunami, although it will organically be linked to the intellectual and manual workers, in short it will organically be linked to all citizens of good will.
The radical break with the neoliberal system cannot be the result of discourses. Instead it will follow for the concrete and organizational work of militants and sympathizers at all levels. This will lead to the modification of the current anti-dumping definition, especially as the political program will be built around this fundamental demand. On this basis everything else will become possible.
This is why this new definition of the anti-dumping must become the first priority. The internalization of its logic will naturally mutate into a new « common sense » among the population, thus creating the ideological antibodies necessary to our people. This will open the way for a practical conception of a new social model, squarely founded on scientific evidences as well as on the egalitarian principles enshrined in our Constitutions born from the common defeat of Nazifascism. On this basis, it will be possible to build a vast class alliance in view of a revolutionary, albeit peaceful, democratic reform susceptible to resolve at their roots the many problems which are undermining our societies.
